Pawns
How it works:
What is a Pawn?
Pawnshops offer collateral-based loans - meaning the loan is secured by something of value. Bring in something you own, and if we are interested we will offer you a loan. We store and secure the item until you repay the loan in full.
Payment / Loan Structure
Loans are good for up to 2 months, with interest accruing monthly. If you would like, you can extend the loan. This is done by delivering a payment to us for the interest accrued on the Pawn. This is a good option if you are unable to pay the full amount of the Pawn but don’t want to lose your item. If you are unable to reach us during business hours you can simply call us at 218-727-5300 and make a payment via card by speaking to an employee here.
Defaulting on a Pawn
If the loan defaults (Goes over 2 months without a payment), the pawnshop has the right to possess the item and sell it to regain money lost from the loan. Because the loan is a private collateral loan, there is no collection action or effect on your credit report.
What do we accept for Pawn?
We accept a variety of items for pawn. For power / hand tools and electronics we will only accept newer models / editions. If you are unsure if your item qualifies, give us a call. If you have the original packaging for the item such as the box, case, manuals, etc. that makes the item more desirable and can effect the Pawn amount. Here is a list of some of the common items we accept for pawn or buy.
Firearms - Pistols, Shotguns, Rifles, etc.
Jewelry - Gold, Silver, & Platinum.
Power / Hand Tools - Drills, Wrenches, Saws, Nailers, etc.
Electronics - Game Consoles, TVs, Cameras, Tablets, etc.
Misc. Collectables (Coins, cards, etc.)
Please Call us if you have any questions regarding us taking your item in on Pawn.
Redeeming your Item
When you are ready to pick up your item, come to our store during business hours and pay off the loan. We will have you sign a redemption form, this will close out the loan and return the item to you. For firearms we must conduct a federal background check. If your firearm(s) requires a permit to purchase or carry then you will also need a valid permit at the time of obtaining the firearm. A background check is not required to sell or pawn but is required to redeem.
